My Favorite Korean Face Products

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to finally share my favorite Korean face products with you all! It's been requested countless times that I show the products I use, so here it finally is.

(Also scroll down the post to find out about the AMAZING skin care contest giveaway I'm doing!)

_____

Skin Food's Honey Black Tea Jelly Foam is the #1 product I recommend. I've been using it for over a year so I can definitely attest to its attributes. Skin Food was the first Korean face shop that I was introduced to through a Korean friend so I really love their products.
This wash is really great for getting your skin in shape. It cleared up mine really well. Before I came to Korea I'd have random bumps (ache) because of a combination of hair products I was using and my hair being on my face. This cleared up any problems I had along with any blemishes. It also last a long time so throughout the year I've only had to restock it twice.
So PLEASE try this product out. I swear you won't regret it!

Honey Black Tea Jelly Foam $16.12 (this Ebay seller also includes free gifts with this purchase.)

___

Facial Water Vita-C Cream is another Skin Food favorite of mine. I use it to moisture my face after I use the Black Tea Honey Foam or any other cleanser. It smells great and gives me just enough moisture. I think this product is best for dry skin though. I actually have combination skin so it'll moisture all but my nose well. My nose carries more oil so this product makes it even oilier  To solve the problem I just wipe off any excess. Overall it works. (It's almost time for me to restock on this one too!)

Facial Water Vita-C Cream $15.15

____

The Nature Republic Peeling Esthe Aqua Peeling Gel Wash is a product I've just recently started to use. It allows me to scrub all the gook and makeup off my face. You literally can see the dirt roll off your face. Afterwards you feel like a new rejuvenated person!

Peeling Esthe Aqua Peeling Gel Wash $6.44

_____

I JUST bought this last night so it isn't included in the video I recorded. I used it and it was WONDERFUL. Skin Food Egg White Pore Mask is a pore minimizing mask. You spread the white cream on your face and let it set for 10-15 minutes then wash off. I placed the cream on my nose, cheeks and chin. It greatly minimized my pores but it took a lot of oil from my face which resulted in my face producing more oil. I would recommend washing your face with cold water instead of lukewarm like the instructions say to avoid this. Cold water minimizes the pores so your skin will be tighter and even more young looking!

----

This product I picked up at The Saem. Time's Choice Blueberry Deep Cleansing Foam is a great smelling face wash. Since my skin is already in shape, I just use this products as an extra wash. When I'm in the mood for a spa face day I bust this out. I've only used it for a few weeks but it seems to be quite okay.

Times Choice Blueberry Deep Cleansing Foam $9.79

___

I also use a Makeup remover from SharaShara called Camomile Lip & Eye Make-Up Cleansing Gel. I couldn't find a single photo of it or any buy links online but when I am able to find it i will post it.

So I hope you enjoyed this post and are able to find some wonderful products that will work for you...but THAT'S NOT ALL!

  1. My favourite face products are Coconut Oil, Glycolic Acid and Salicylic Acid. Firstly Coconut oil is by far my holygrail product, it fades hyperpigmentation, treats acne, smoothes the texture of the skin and plumps it, and overall makes your skin much more better. Glycolic and Salycylic acid is good because it really clears out the pores of oily or acne prone skin and smooths it for an airbrushed look so thats why i like it!

  2. My favorite skin care product is my Clinique acne solution clear skin system. This product is a three step system. It comes with a foam cleanser, clarifying lotion and moisturizer. I've been using this system for quite some time now and I love it! I also love to apply a facial mask right after!

  3. My favorite face product is Frutique's Citrus Brightening Creme (they sell it at Sally's) and it's a light moisturizer that helps to even out skin tone. I sort of fell in love with it after a few weeks of using it and let me just say it made SUCH a difference in my skin. I suffer from some hyperpigmentation as a result of having cystic acne as a teenager and this product helped fade the splotchiness in my skin a lot. The one thing I've noticed that's particularly great about it is that if I get a pimple or something and develop any new marks I just use this stuff to fade it away and my skin is back to being perfect within like 2 weeks or so. It's seriously one of those products I wished I'd known about when I was going through worse issues with my skin because it could've saved me a lot of trouble. But now that I do know about it I can never go without using it again. Of all the products I use on my face, this is the one I think that is absolutely not interchangeable, I have to use it every day. It provides light moisture while healing my skin. It also smells really nice and doesn't break me out. I love it so much, omg >.<

  4. I've been rocking with Aveeno Active Natural products since the new year. Normally I would just use my Dove Bar soap, but my skin has started to be extra THIRSTY lately. I figured it needed better moisture and something specifically for my face.
Also an something I've been doing for years is giving my face a simple steam bath. It opens the pores right up to enjoy my moisturizer.

  5. I've recently bought the Simple Cleansing Foam and so far I really like it. Also, I've been reading a lot about cleansing oils and for the past few weeks I've been using a mix of olive oil & castor oil to remove makeup and then I use the foam cleanser afterwards and then I rinse with cold water. This is probably one of the best regimens I've tried. I had read about Miss A's Suzy and her skin care regimen and that she does this 4-2-4 cleansing method and that's what inspired this new regimen.

  7. My favorite face product to use must be my apricot scrub.
(Which you can find at Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, ect.)
I use this every morning when I wake up!
It is oil-free product (which is a plus for my skin) and it naturally exfoliates, which makes your skin appear beautiful, clear and soft. I have been using it since I was about 16 years old and it has not failed me yet!

For my daily regimen, I would first wash my face with the apricot scrub with cold water, then apply Lumene's Pure Radiance Day Cream on my face and Lumene's Firming Day Cream under my eyes.
Thank you for the awesome giveaway!

My favorite face products would have to be masks. I love mud / clay masks and I love sheet masks. After having a stressful day or having a girl's day, it's the perfect way to wind down and relax!

Thank you so much for this giveaway! Good luck to all who are entering! ^_^

  10. My favorite face products are from Avon. I get them in Japan and have been using the products for the past 3 years. For my cleansing cream I use Komenuka cleansing foam. Then I use face lotion and after that a face milk. The cleansing foam is amazing. Whenever I get a pimple its gone in 2 to 3 days and the loton and milk are super moisturizing. I've tried other brands but they always break me out after a couple weeks of using them.

  11. Hello~

So my favourite product would be Cleanance Toner from Avene. It gently purifies the skin. It also has matifying powder in it to absorb excess oil and provide a long-lasting anti-shine effect. I use it every day and i am happy with results :D

And thank you for the giveaway! <3

  15. My favorite product is Skin Food's Banana Wash Off mask and Tony Moly Essential Mask Sheet Pack (Pomegranate and Aloe). It smells so delicious (Skin Food) and ,for me personally, I put this in the frig to cool so when I put it on my face. It works great! It lasts a long time. The mask from Tony Moly I swear by every hour of every day. On my spa days where I put my hair up in a bun, paint my nails, and put on some music this mask is right there next to me. After I clean my face I put this mask on immediately afterwards for 30 minutes, and my face is so smooth and soft for hours! I put the mask on at night before bed, or late afternoon so when I sleep it really soaks into my skin. I love this product, and I only have 3 left *cries* Time to restock lol I want to try out some more things from Skin Food and Tony Moly. Their products are really great compared to most American products that I've tried.

  16. At the moment, I do not have an absolutely FAVORITE product but my daily regimen is definitely consistent. (:

After making sure I have thoroughly cleaned my face (showering, then 'clarifying lotion,' at the moment I use Neutrogena UltraSheer Dry-Touch Sunblock on my face, then concealer (e.g. Almay smart shade concealer), BB cream (e.g. L'Oreal Magic Skin Beautifier) and/or cream foundation (e.g. Covergirl+Olay Simply Ageless Foundation w/Suncreen (I'm loving foundations with lotion infused/semi-mixed). (:

I've always been dying to try recommended Asian skin products, but I've never had the chance to, especially with so many tones not matching with mine (although I'm sure they would suit me better if they had something closer to my shade). :( #tanasiansrepresent

Anyway, thank you so much for holding this giveaway! You are amazing. (:

  17. My favorite skin care product would have to be my daily morning burst face wash, but I switch it up with my Biore warming black head exfoliator. I also love face lotion and I use my TN face moisturizer and toner, but the smell is a little excessive, but it works well.
I have oily/combo skin so I cleanse morning and night and I exfoliate every two days. I also love face masks and packs so I do that every weekend.
I also love to mix up some DIY face masks and you can never go wrong with them. Like honey/sugar scrub or olive oil makeup remover and brightening lemon mask!

  18. My favorite regimen is using natural products. I used to use a bunch of bullshit products like clean and clear and neutrogena(no offense to the users) but it fuc... I mean messed my face up. I wasn't really taught about skin care so I STILL am combating with my blackheads, clogged pores and acne(even though it's better now). But yeah I use turmeric as a cleanser it's a brilliant spice(you guys should try it) that gives you a glow because it increases blood circulation(I buy mine from ebay), I also use adzuki beans for exfoliating, and organic coconut oil as a moisturizer which I think may be causing my acne but I still need the shit because my skin is very dry(and a damn shame) and coconut oil is the ONLY moisturizer I found so far that keeps my skin soft or (make it look soft).

  19. Oh, oh how can I forget I've also use Face Shop's sunblock(yes yes Black people we DO need sunblock) and I've used Skin79's sugar scrub which I'm planning to possibly buy again even though it doesn't beat my adzuki beans!

  20. My favorite skin care line is Shiseido and i use the Brightening line. Almost everything in that like i own. I basically swear by it. I think it's by a japanese company not sure but i found out about it through this ajumma at my local hmart and i have been using it for almost two years now and it's awesome. I'm dark skinned and had bad scaring from past acne and this help. http://luciaobsession.blogspot.com/p/products.html

  23. From everything I've tried.. I have to say I like the Philosophy cleanser the most.
But, honestly I don't LOVE it.
I'm pretty sure theres something better out there for me for my skin type (sensitive combination). But its just tiring to keep looking lol.
I also use the new Neutrogena naturals vitamin moisturizer.
Its okay, it doesn't break me out,and its natural.. so that's a plus!! Haha
To exfoliate weekly, I use a mix of brown sugar, lemon juice and banana.
    Loveee it ^^♡
Oh! I forgot to mention - When my skin is dry, I go to sleep with a layer of olive oil on my face. And when I wake up... girllllll lol

  25. I love my clarisonic mia2 and my clean and clear 3 in 1 face scrub. It makes my face feel awesome. I tend to get very oily skin and those products help my face a lot. I use them every night. I wake up and my skin feels great. My youtube name is shell4116. :)

  26. I love using origins checks and balances foaming face wash with a face brush to exfoliate. Then after drying my face, I use melvita orange blossom extraordinary water and pat that onto my face. For moisturizer I use Ponds dry skin cream and if i have any breakouts i will put origins spot treatment onto them. That's my daily face regimen, but 1-2 times a week I will use a mask. Right now i'm loving the lush Mask of Magnaminty and a standard mint mask from CVS. That's it~

  27. My favorite skin product and trust me I've tried them all, I have combination skin saying more on the side of being oily.I swear I had to literally deconstruct my face regimens and reconstruct them one too many times to even count at this point. I love the mineral fusion scrub and hydrating cleaners. They are amazing, the scrub particles are super fine and really exploiates your skins without scrapping your face.i use it along with the cleaner for gentle daily exfoliating and REMEMBER girls moisturizer! And be totally gentle around the eye around, harsh rubbing, tugging or pulling of the skin can result in wrinkles. You are ever too old to use eye clean before bed, remember the eyes are the doorways of our souls and we don't want any dirty windows! My pores are ridiculous, just when I thought I got this whole skin thing down, my pores throw me out of wack. The more you process your face, the more oil you produce or the more dry your face becomes, how do we deal with this? You use natural oils and a know pore astringent. I create a home made mask of organic non process coconut oil, turmeric no more than a tea spoon, organic honey and some grains, you can use coffee grains if you like(instant coffee grains). You see coconut oil is one of the best natural oils around because it contains essential fatty acids. Turmeticn is a bright yellow spice found in many East Asian cuisines, yet this super spice has great skin clearing benefits, as well as brightening properties, shrinking pores and totally rejuvenating the skins surface. My last tip is SUNSCREEN, your skin is the first line of defense and wit that, you need to take care of it from harmful UVA,UVB rays that can cause sunspots, dark spots, wrinkles, scaring and cancer....use a sunscreen of SPF broad spectrum of 30 or higher everyday, even if its not sunny out. It's recommended 18 teaspoons for your body, applied every 2 hours or so in direct sunlight for those beachy days. My fav is loreal sublime oil SPF 50 sunscreen.

  28. Hello April,
Well, since I really don't have a routine, I think winning things to try would be a good way for me to start. I have never worn make-up so I guess I have never really needed one except for using steam to keep my pores open and clear. The products you shared really do seem like something I would like to try. :) Take care and love your blogs.
